Is this bundle only recommended for senior dogs?
As pets age, the incidence of chronic diseases increases. However, younger dogs are still prone to a number of illnesses, which is why we recommend annual blood and urine screening. For example, many young pets only undergo blood testing before general anaesthesia, and a significant proportion are found to have abnormalities, Lastly, regular testing allows us to monitor the trend in each parameter, which facilitates early detection.
How often is preventative testing recommended?
For most dogs, annual preventative screening is recommended. For senior dogs, dogs with known medication conditions, or dogs at high risk for developing certain conditions, six-monthly screening may be indicated. For tailored recommendations, speak with one of our experienced vets.
