How Often Should My Dog See the Vet?
We recommend that your dog receives a health check at least every 12 months if they are younger than 6 years, and every 6 months if they are older than 6 years (or if you notice any changes in behaviour, energy levels, thirst, appetite and toileting). New health issues can develop quickly in older pets. During a general health check consultation, we will assess things like body condition, teeth, skin, ears, eyes and more.

I just wanted to write a big thank you to Dr Emma and the whole team at The Wild Vet for all the help and care given when I had to bring my dog in the other day after he developed quite a significant limp. I've never had to deal with an emergency situation like this before - I was beside myself! The whole team were so accommodating. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Dr Emma for saving my 13 year old dog’s life. He had a massive tumour that was constricting his breathing and it was either complicated surgery or euthanasia. Dr Emma took my dog under her wing and performed a 5 hour complicated surgery and saved his life. She nursed him back to health like he was on her own dog. I will be forever grateful.
