CANCELLATION, NO-SHOW AND RESCHEDULING POLICY
This policy has been established in order to provide the highest level of veterinary care to all of our patients. By providing us notice of a cancellation or if you need to reschedule, we may be able to accommodate other patients with your appointment slot. When you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, or do not provide adequate notice to cancel, it creates an unused appointment time that could have been used for another patient and their care.
To cancel your pet’s veterinary consultation, please call The Wild Vet on 1300 945 383 during business hours and speak with one of our team who will confirm the cancellation or reschedule. Sending a text, email, or leaving a voicemail message are not adequate notifications of cancellations.
You must cancel or reschedule your consultation appointment at least six (6) hours prior to its start time, otherwise the full fee will be charged.
For consultations, any no-show, cancellation, or rescheduling requested within 6 hours of the start time of your appointment will incur the full cost of the veterinary consultation that day. This includes surcharges on weekends.
FOR SURGERIES AND PROCEDURES
To cancel your pet’s veterinary procedure or surgical appointment, please call The Wild Vet on 1300 945 383 during business hours and speak with one of our team who will confirm the cancellation or reschedule. Sending a text, email, or leaving a voicemail message are not adequate notifications of cancellations. Surgery scheduling is substantial, and incorporates quite a lot of time within our day, which is why our cancellations and rescheduling policy is much stricter than with consults.
You must contact The Wild Vet at least TWO days before your pet’s scheduled procedure or surgery if you need to cancel or reschedule. This is equivalent to 48 hours prior to 8am on the day of the procedure.
For all cancellations and reschedules of procedures within 48 hours, or for no-shows, a fee of 100% of the low end of estimated costs of the procedure will be charged, capped at $1000. If no estimate has been provided to you, a flat fee of $200 will be charged.
All fees will be payable at time of cancellation, or prior to booking in your pet’s next appointment.
We understand that sometimes circumstances are out of your control, and that personal emergencies do arise that can impact your schedule. If you have extenuating circumstances that have stopped you from being able to provide notice about your pet’s appointment, please send an email to email@example.com explaining the reason. The matter will be decided upon by management on its merits, as well as the frequency at which these scheduling conflicts occur.
