    • Ideal for: newly acquired puppies/kittens. Ideally, your new puppy/kitten should be checked within the first 72 hours of coming home, to ensure they are nice and healthy!
    • We are different from most other clinics in Sydney in offering extended consultations at no additional charge for new puppy/kitten consultations. There is a lot to cover, and we want to allow enough time to answer all your questions about the newest member of the family.

      • Full physical examination to check for any congenital issues (hernias, heart disease, undescended testicles, joint disorders, dental malocclusions)

  • Ideal for: a re-check of a recently (less than 3 months) diagnosed condition. For example, skin infections, repeat eye examinations for conjunctivitis,

  • Does not include: any recommended diagnostic tests, medications
  • For emergencies which delay previously booked consultations. We will always to our best to accommodate emergencies, but often this results in delays to our scheduled consultations
  • Please note that most emergencies require longer than 30 minutes to investigate and treat – this time slot is for the attending veterinarian to examine, assess, provide emergency care, and determine the best diagnostic/treatment plan for your pet
  • Please phone us when you are on your way if it is safe to do so without delaying arrival. This helps to ensure we have staff and equipment on standby to assist you and your pet
      • Ideal for:
        • Advice about conditions which we have previously diagnosed and prescribed medication for
        • Advice about husbandry
        • Behavioural advice which does not require medication
          • Please note that it is illegal for veterinarians in NSW to prescribe medication to an animal unless we have:
            1. physically examined them (recently)
            2. prescribed the same medication previously, and
            3. prescribed that medication for the same condition.
          • For more information about telehealth consults, please contact us directly before booking.
  • Includes:
    • A physical examination, performed by one of our highly trained nurses
    • Assessment of diet, parasite prevention, vaccination status, and more
      • Ideal for many concerns:
        • Dental checks
        • New pet checks
        • Senior patients
        • Weight loss consultations
          • Not suitable for: many concerns at the same time – for longer nurse consultations, please book an extended nurse consult
  • Ideal for:
    • Multiple concerns
    • For more complicated health conditions, such as diabetes management
      • Not suitable for conditions which require prescription medication, unless patient has repeats for a previously prescribed medication on their file.
  • Ideal for: pets showing signs of a behavioural problem, e.g. anxiety, aggression, inappropriate toileting, self trauma
  • Includes: full physical examination and assessment of your pet’s concern, full behavioural assessment, recommendations for behavioural medications/therapies and environmental modifications
  • Does not include: any recommended diagnostic tests, the cost of any recommended medications. We may also offer to write a prescription for a small administration fee
  • Price for puppies is capped at $89, Adult price is weight-dependent
  • No consultation fee if patient has been seen for a consultation within 6 months. Consultation fee applies if patient has any issues which require treatment, or if your pet requires a physical examination
  • Includes:
    • An assessment of the best arthritis treatment options for your pet, a review of their weight, diet and mobility, referral to a recommended rehabilitation clinic if indicated
    • Recommendations for prescription medications, e.g. anti-inflammatories
      • Does not include: diagnostic tests such as x-rays, the cost of any recommended medications
      • Injections 2/4 and 3/4 of the primary course will be administered by a nurse (no consult fee), and the 4th injection is booked with a vet (consult fee applies)

For patients needing regular bandage changes every few days, in many cases we will waive the repeat consultation fee, and only charge the bandage change fee.

For surgeries performed at The Wild Vet or a charity such as the RSPCA, suture removal is free of charge.

  • Post-operative checks are always free! We want to ensure that everything is healing as expected, so please contact us immediately if something doesn’t seem quite right
  • Includes: wound examination for signs of infection (in-person, or via email if your pet is happy/healthy & you prefer to send pictures of the surgical wound)
  • Does not include:
      • Medications (if needed)
      • Re-checks for long-term wound management such as large open wounds which are being allowed to heal over time
      • Bandage changes

Due to higher staffing costs after 1pm on Saturdays, these consultations incur a surcharge.

    • We pride ourselves on offering fear-free euthanasias, and will always take our time talking you through the process.
    • Includes:
        • Sedation prior to euthanasia
        • Organisation of cremation service
        • Assistance choosing a vessel (for owners selecting private cremation)
        • Keepsakes: we make paw-print keepsakes for owners – please advise us if this is something you do not want for your pet
        • Complimentary grief counseling for patients being cremated privately
    • Not Included: cremation costs

A ‘no-show consult fee’ will be charged to your account if you do not contact us to reschedule or cancel your consultation. If you have a valid reason for missing your appointment, please phone us to discuss – this fee may be waived at management’s discretion.

      • Full physical examination to check for any health issues
      • Sexing recommendations (if possible, we will sex your pet, but for species such as birds, we may recommend additional tests to confirm their sex)
      • Dental care and grooming discussion
      • Pet insurance discussion
      • Diet review
      • Parasite prevention recommendations
      • Vaccination recommendations (rabbits/ferrets): if your pet is due for vaccination on the same day, we will automatically upgrade this to the chosen vaccination fee – you won’t be charged twice for this!)
      • Desexing recommendations (small mammals, bearded dragons)

The second pet must have the same concern as the first pet (e.g. a general health check, or rats with respiratory infections). If husbandry differs from the first pet, the second pet discount will not apply.
  • Enclosure and husbandry must be identical, and they must attend at the same time as first pet.

      • Please ensure you describe your concerns in detail when booking, as a veterinary consultation may be more suitable for complicated issues
  • Ideal for: pets showing signs of a behavioural problem, e.g. anxiety, aggression, inappropriate toileting, self trauma
  • Includes: full physical examination and assessment of your pet’s concern, full behavioural assessment, recommendations for behavioural medications/therapies and environmental modifications
  • Does not include: any recommended diagnostic tests, the cost of any recommended medications. We may also offer to write a prescription for a small administration fee
  • Includes: injections administered by one of our lovely nurses
  • Does not include: the cost of medication – we recommend storing the medication with us if you are likely to forget to bring it, otherwise we can (in most cases) dispense a small amount on the day
